Summary of Business

1. Woodland School Project
We are assisting the Afan Earthquake Restoration Project, working to relocate and rebuild a school on a wooded hillock in Higashi-Matsushima, heavily ravaged by the Earthquake and Tsunami on March 11,2011.
One of the challenges the Project faces is how to provide domestic purpose water to the wooded hills for extracurricular activities.
We tackle our challenge of extracting clean water from undrinkable water (pond and rain water) by using simple filtration systems.
In this exhibition, we display the self-made filtration system and show the process of extracting clean water from dirty water.

2. CO2 reduction Project
We are working for “Sanden Forest” owned by Sanden Corporation.
We have two purposes for the project.
①To propose the model case of “Forest Recycling” through effective use of forest thinnings and fallen trees.
②To raise young people with environmental awareness through popularizing the knowledge of forest thinning.
In order to achieve these goals, we are going to make items from forest thinnings.
At the same time, we want to spread the concept of “Carbon immobilization” to the young generation.
We display “woodworking items” ”wood pellet” “wooden compost” and “application introducing Sanden Forest”.
